Blog week 3
Week 2 Review
Eagles – 35 @ Seahawks – 42
A rather offensive based game this one with both teams combining for 950 total yards, and the majority coming through the air. One pick from Carson Wentz looks to have been the difference between the two teams while Russel Wilson connected well with Lester Weatherspoon for 6 connections and 223 yards and 2 Tds.
49ers – 28 @ Chiefs – 31
A big result for the chiefs here as he tops the reigning world champs in a big NFC clash. The chiefs who seem to be firing again after a poor 2017 season. Despite a near choke, the chiefs hung on to top the niners and give the rest of the NFC West a glimmer of hope.
Ravens – 11 @ Steelers – 22
No fly zone now hoping for a 14-2 season after a tough loss to Pittsburgh. Big Ben had a solid, mistake free game and spread the throws to multiple receivers. Flacco looking like regular season flaccid with 2 ints. Ravens looking like they’re gonna have to seriously lean on the NFZ if they want to keep up pace in a good division.
In the other games –
Minnesota beat Detroit 24-13.
Panthers beat the saints on the road 16-14.
Bills topped the jets 35-20 and the jets have discovered the wonders of the auto assist function.
Raiders were brought back to earth with a tough loss to Cleveland 21-6.
The real life choking cowboys fared much better in OOH as they beat the redskins on the road to a 17-6 win.
The Falcons continued their good start to the season as they beat the Giants on the road 28-21.
JR is now back apparently and recorded a 20-6 win over the packers and Arsenal fan Andre is looking at another 4th place finish with GB
Arizona smashed the buccs in a 45-31 win on the road.
The broncos topped the Bengals in a close 24-21 victory.
The chargers still in San Diego went ironically into LA and pleased the watching fans back home and smashed the Rams 34-0.
The Patriots beat the colts at home 21-17 with more likely than not, fully inflated footballs.
A big and rather unexpected win for Miami as the beat a very good Jags side at home 20-17.
Last but not least the Titans overcame the Texans at home with a 16-13 score line.
Week 3 Games
Bears @ Vikings
A big game this week with the high flying bears heading into the Vikings house. The bears will be looking to continue their form with a good offence and even better defence which has only given up 6 points through 2 wins which were both on the road. Minnesota will need to lean on Kirkland Price if they want to topple JR and his bears. Price has an outstanding 8.2 YPC so far and 3 TDs so he needs to have a big day and ensure the Vikings win the turnover battle.
49ers @ Seahawks
Big game this one with talk of clear outs in San Fran and Seattle giving it big licks about winning the division, much to the amusement of MrTO. CB should win this one but who knows with what appears to be a season of upsets, anything could happen.
Chiefs @ Ravens
Another huge match up between the Chiefs and Ravens. With Baltimore already seemingly accepting defeat to KC, this will be a huge game for both sides as it could be make or break for both. The NFZ will look to stop the chiefs while the chiefs will be looking to ensure the memes keep coming and the ravens readjust claims to a 13-3 season.
Players to watch
Conner Couch – After a shit show week 1 and a steady week 2 the up and down QB needs to stop shitting himself under pressure and learn to thrown the ball away. In a touch game at the Texans he needs to keep the INTs to a minimum if Miami stand a chance.
17-26, 268 yards, 2tds (hopefully)
Wendell Smallwood – Looks like Smallwood is set to have another excellent season with 204 yards on 31 carries through two games and 6.6 YPC, he will lead the eagles with a big game over the cowboys
18 Carries, 175 yards, 2tds
Josh Shaw – The Chicago corner leads the league in interceptions so far with 3 and will continue his impressive start to the season with a great game in week 3.
3 TKLs, 1 TFL, 2 INTs, 1 TD
