Its finally here folks!! After weeks of waiting since the official end of madden 1, its finally opening day. After some frantic trading (Tom V and Big D mainly) and savvy free agent signings, all 32 OOH squads are ready to go and full of hope and optimism.
Trade Watch
Some bumper trades have gone through and the Trade Committee have had their work cut out keeping up with all the deals going on.
Dolphins were the first to make a move, and they traded their 1st round 2018 draft pick to bring Earl Thomas over from Seattle. Denver was the next to make a bumper trade, as they sent their 1st round pick and Lorenzo Doss to Cleveland and in return, getting their franchise Qb in the form of DeShone Kizer.
Big D was the next to make a big move as he sent his 1st and 3rd round pick to Minnesota much to the delight of JR for Xavier Rhodes. This was only the beginning for Big D to then sent his 2nd round pick in return for Talib from Tom V. Next up for D was the acquisition of Harrison Smith once again from JR as he sent his 2nd rounder and WR Switzer to the Vikings
The rookie Wr, John Ross out of Cincinati was the next to be traded as he was sent to Kansas to Pack Al in return for Pro bowl corner Marcus Peters, a 2nd rounder and a 4th rounder. Although remember folks, “Speed doesn’t matter this madden”
Chicago dipped their toes into the water next as they pulled off a bumper trade with the Cards to get Paddy Peterson. In return they sent a 2019 1st, Big Ed Goldman and Kyle Fuller to Arizona.
Glyn who hates the Jets decided Jamaal Adams would never see the field in New York as he sent him to Mexico in return for a 1st, 5th and Geathers.
The bills GM decided he wanted Anthony Barr from the Vikes and gave up rookie Zay Jones, Reggie Ragland and a 2nd round pick to get his man. Many people saw this as an overpay but time will tell if it was a good move or not. This wasn’t the end of things for the Bills as they managed to get the top user mlb in from Pittsburgh. Shazier was moved to Buffalo in return for a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and next year’s 1st.
Chandler Jones was next of the big names to be moved on as he was sent to Pitt in return for two 2nd round picks and rooke TJ Watt. Interesting to see if Tj can live up to the surname.
Tom V then lost his mind and sent D Thomas a 1st and a 4th in return for Stefon Diggs and a 3rd round pick.
Lastly, Sc sent shivers around the AFC as he acquired Jimmy G from the Pats
Those were just a few of the many trades put though but it will be interesting to see how some GMs get on with no picks and the Veterans like Jr, SC who have an abundance of picks for the next draft.

Week 1 Preview
We’ve finally made it, week 1 is here and everyone will be desperate to get off to a victorious start on opening week. Some very interesting match ups to start the season;
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Miami Dolphins
A routine win for Paul and the Buccs as TO is away so an easy Cpu win to start the season with.
Arizona Cardinals @ Detroit Lions
The matchup of the week this one, two of the best in the league face each other in a week 1 showdown. CB has Stafford and his monster arm while Moose is still working with Carson Palmer however he does have DJ in the backfield. This will be an excellent game and is scheduled for Monday night if anyone is looking for a great game to watch.
Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos
Another interesting matchup here, Tom V and his Broncos will be looking at Von Miller and co to help him on defence while DeShone Kizer gets his debut in the NFL on his second team. On the other side, Craig has traded for Jameis Winston despite TO’s best attempts to trade him Tannebum. A close one this I think and could go either way.
Kansas City Chiefs @ New England Patriots
Big matchup here for the IRL Superbowl champions and Chiefs, with the Pats starting with an elite roster with very few holes to fill and the Chiefs making a big trade for John Ross, this will be a fascinating game with both sides in tough divisions and looking to get off to a great start.
Indianapolis Colts @ Los Angeles Rams
Mexico v Burnley in this one. Andre is a sneaky one for me, he lets on he’s shit, but I think he has a break out year with Andrew Luck at the forefront of his chances If he can keep the picks to a minimum and stop missing field goals, I think he challenges for his division. With Goff on offence and Donald on D, Oli should be able to challenge with the best but I think we see an upset here and Andre our favourite drug dealing Mexican gets the win.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins
A bit of an unknown matchup this one, as tbh I’m not even sure who the Gm of these teams are and I can’t be arsed checking DL so I’m going to go with an Eagles win :mooseshrug:
Atlanta Falcons @ Chicago Bears
The irl superbowl losers head to Chicago for a week 1 matchup with my Bears. The falcons have an excellent roster and have been very quiet in the offseason but should go into Chicago as clear favourites. The bears have the titty kisser starting as a rookie Qb and a front 7 which has seen multiple position changes, plus the addition of PP at Corner this should give them a better chance of being able to defend against Julio
New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys
Jimmy has gone from years in the doldrums in Buffalo to the bright lights of New York. He gets a pretty good defence and Obj on offence so he should be able to compete from the beginning. Add all that on to the fact he has Elite Eli, and he should win his division. On the other side this week we have Big D in Dallas, he made 1.3 million trades this offseason to improve his defence which I think was a good move and Dak, Zeke and Dez should give him the best chance of making a playoff run
Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans
Not entirely sure who the Jags are but I know ben is still away noncing across America so should be a routine win for the Jags in this one
New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills
A tough start for Glyn here with a divisional rival in the form of Kadeem and the Bills. The jets are terrible and Gyln has much work on his hands if he stands any chance of succeeding in year 1. Rather him than me. Kadeem another who has made some big trade will be looking to get off to a flyer in the division.
Carolina Panthers @ San Francisco 49ers
Another two teams who have been quiet in the offseason. Aaron wins this one
Oakland Raiders @ Tennessee Titans
Young Rory gets his season off against VFJ and his titans. Both the Raiders and Titans are great teams and this should be an interesting matchup. I think VFJ just edges it.
Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals
Not much to say about this one other than good luck Michael.
New Orleans Saints @ Minnesota Vikings
The second best game of week 1 this one. Jerry v JR, two good players and two decent teams. JR has sold off a few of his assets and I’ve a funny feeling that he could be trying to trade away Murray. A close one this and I think Jerry could take this one
Seattle Seahawks @ Green Bay Packers
Don’t know much about Ryan and his Packers so can’t tell for now but I think Wayne takes this one. Has a great defence and Wilson on Offence so he should have a good game and good year
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns
Yeah good luck James!
Game of the Week – Cardinals (Moose) @ Lions (CB) – Monday 10ish
Players of the week Predictions
Offence – Russell Wilson – 340 yards – 3 TDs 1 Rush TD
Defence – Ryan Shazier – 8 Tkl – 2 Ints – 1 TD
