Minnesota, Washington & Dallas all control their own fate.

Chicago need a win & Minnesota loss to get in.

New York need a win & Minnesota, Chicago and Dallas to lose.

Washington can still get in with a loss provided Minnesota and Chicago also lose.

Everything else is seeding.

I also wanted to share with you a good piece about the Pistol offense: http://www.sbnation.com/longform/2012/12/27/3792740/pistol-offense-nfl-redskins-rg3
Richard Sherman's appeal is successful. Browner will be back after the STL game. Watch out.

Seen a lot of horrible things tonight that have me worried in the playoffs. Poor tackling, blown coverages and o-line getting owned when the opposition just rushes four. The Giants blueprint is still valid, there are teams in the playoffs who can replicate it.

Vikings will go into the game at Lambeau full of confidence.

I actually think that having to play next week might benefit the Packers. Last year, you looked rusty after having the bye week. You'll win at Lambeau against the Vikings, I'm almost certain.

Wait what?? You mean the Read Option that's been doing wonders for the rookies this year, and if I'm not mistaken you used some of last year?

I'd definitely be using some read option stuff with a guy like Cam.

Need to eek out some cap room for one of the big WR's on the FA market tho, can't be working with Brandon LaFell as a 2nd WR again.

One could argue that the only reason we beat the Vikings last time at Lambeau was because of Ponder. Don't think Rodgers and the offense are playing nearly as well enough to carry this team and the defense while slightly improved still isn't good enough.

I might sound overly pessimistic but I see huge flaws with this team and the coaching.

Aye the read option is good for a few plays a game to keep the defence on their toes but using it as your base offense is a recipe for disaster. Cam can't run it, he can run a pro style vertical offense and run it well.

LaFell is a decent enough 2/3, it's whether Smith has another year in him that could be the problem.

Overall we're looking ok for next year, drop one of the RB's and a couple of other high earners and the cap will look fine as well.

The Packers would have to fall a long way to match those pessimism levels :P . The only thing that has stopped me from having a sporting meltdown is following the Pack, and it has been a nice distraction from the farce that is Rovers at this moment in time.

I guess I should stop moaning. We are in the playoffs and we have a chance so I guess I should be grateful we actually got in there and our season isn't over yet.

If we had any Dallas fans, or Dallas had any fans who are at all likeable, I would apologise for cursing Romo by putting money on him.
Saturday: #CINvsHOU (4:30pm ET); #MINvsGB (8p). Sunday: INDvsBAL (1p); #SEAvsWAS/DAL (4:30p)

Way too early picks: Houston by 8, GB by 5, Baltimore by 10, Seahawks by 13

Shocked to see this thread died after Witten scored.

Did everyone go to bed?

I will be honest in saying this, I was not looking forward to this game at all. I felt we had just about run out of steam (and perhaps luck) recently. I even posted on a Redskin fan area that I was Bricking it. I knew if we played to our best we should beat the Cowboys. But most of the "experts" and pundits willing to actualy put pen to paper or fingers to telestrater were telling me that Romo would have a field day and throw for a gazillion yards against our piss poor secondary.

I guess they did not figure on the ineptness of a Ryan Brother. I mean anyone who has watched our last two games has seen teams load up the box against us and say go on throw on us we dare you. Eventualy Cousins did just that against the Browns as did Griffin in Philly. But Ryan didnt, he surrendered time of possession and allowed Morris to run for a career high 200 yards and 3 TD.

Was he inept or was it hubaris, He just refused to adjust his scheme. As Collinsworth said, the Redskins took a massive gamble by saying to morris and Griffin if you have the ball you have to beat Ware and Spencer on your own. And beat them they did enough times to win us this game.

Our D played about as well as it has all season. it scraped all game fighting hard and got helped by Romo being Romo.

But it feels great this morning to say WE ARE THE NFC EAST CHAMPIONS.

Each and every game is noe extra chocolate sprinkles on a season long desert.

It does not matter how much god given talent you have, if you fail to apply it properly, it is wasted.

I was all for staying up to watch it... not many games this week that meant anything to both teams so I got myself comfy... then fell asleep before the end of the 1st quarter

Woke up thinking I could watch it on 4od but its still not available grrr

Anyhow.. well played the Skins

I have no idea how these playoffs are going to pan out

Glyners I totaly agree.

I have looked at all 12 teams and each is beatible. Yet they all also capible of beatting one another. It makes for a very interesting post season.

Do not ask me to predict anything though

Yea very interesting indeed.

For me its either NE/Denver from the AFC. Ill also say niners/packers from the NFC

Sadly I think its 1 season to early from my hawks. We will need to win 3 on the road to each the big dance and just cant see it, fingers crossed I am wrong

RG3 V RW is a very intriguing battle. Both play the read option, rely on a stout run game too. Seattle has the advanatage on defence, however moss and garcon are exactly the type of recievers that cause us the problems. Our big long corners have trouble with these smaller quicker recievers.

I'm torn between the Falcons or Ravens for the Superbowl...7/1 vs. 20/1.

Might find a betting site I've not used that offers a free bet on your first deposit and put £10 on one and the £10 free on the other.

We don't do walking away!
The Bungles at 50-1 might be worth a cheeky £2. Good defence, solid QB, playmaker at WR.
The OOH NCAA Fantasy Football Champion '10! - Not a fluke!

The OOH NFL Another Other Prediction League Postseason Champion '11!

Also a good emotional cover.

I'm going to spend my week researching, watching game tape and trying to go 13-0 vs the Spread during the playoffs, but probably failing miserably. :)
